Rainbow Railroad’s mission is to help LGBTQI people seek refuge from state-enabled violence, murder or persecution. They provide support, information, and help to arrange safe transportation for LGBTQI people.

Since COVID-19 became a global pandemic, Rainbow Railroad has been adapting quickly in order continue their work.

They have released a report on how COVID-19 has imperilled the safety of LGBTQI people around the world with a specific focus on displaced persons. This report draws on research, interviews with human rights defenders and information from the spike of requests for help they have received since the pandemic began.

I am sharing this report, which I designed, so you can understand how COVID-19 threatens refugee populations, leading to increased crackdowns on LGBTQI people and disrupting the ability of at-risk people to claim asylum.
