A year-end HIV awareness campaign inspired by one of the original activists, Keith Haring, asking people to United for Human Rights.
The HIV Legal Network is committed to challenging wrongs wherever they happen.
Most recently, they intervened to highlight the urgent need for Criminal Code reform in Canada — without such change, people living with HIV remain at risk of unjust prosecution and conviction.
They asked me to design their 2021 year-end campaign materials which included a direct mailer, reply device, social media icons and graphics. I loosely based the concept on the work of Keith Haring, an activist who died from AIDS-related complications in the 1980’s. A set of icons were developed representing the four parts of the campaign – challenge wrongs, advance rights, transform lives, and to donate now! They all come together to form an instantly recognizable campaign to Unite for Human Rights.
